Yoga Therapy · Brisbane & Online

Find your way back to feeling alive in your body.

When pain, stress or exhaustion have been running the show, yoga therapy offers a gentler way home — one breath, one small shift at a time. Personal, one-to-one, and shaped entirely around you.

No pressure, no commitment — just a conversation.

You're not imagining it

Maybe some of this feels familiar.

Read slowly. If your shoulders drop even a little as you recognise yourself here, you're in the right place.

You wake bracing for the ache before your feet even touch the floor — and lately you've been planning your whole day around what your body will allow.

Living with ongoing pain

Your mind won't switch off. Sleep comes late, if it comes at all, and you're tired in a way that rest just doesn't seem to reach.

Stress, anxiety & sleepless nights

Since the injury — the diagnosis, the treatment — your body feels like unfamiliar ground, and you're not quite sure how to move in it again.

Healing & rebuilding trust

You've tried the classes, but keeping up left you feeling worse, not better — like your body was the thing getting in the way.

When a busy class doesn't fit

None of this means something is wrong with you. It means your nervous system has been working hard to keep you safe — and it's ready for a softer kind of support.

A different kind of yoga

Not a class to keep up with. A practice built around you.

In a yoga therapy session it's just you and John. He listens to what's really going on — in your body, your sleep, your stress — and shapes a practice that meets you exactly where you are today.

There's nothing to perform and no one to fall behind. Using gentle movement, breath, deep relaxation and meditation, the work helps your nervous system shift out of "fight or flight" and into the calm where your body knows how to settle, repair and feel like yours again.

Yoga therapy works alongside the care of your doctor or specialist — never instead of it.

Many people come for help with
  • Ongoing or recurring pain — especially the lower back, neck and shoulders
  • Anxiety, overwhelm and a mind that won't slow down
  • Trouble falling — or staying — asleep
  • Recovery from injury, illness or treatment
  • Stiffness, tension and lost mobility
  • Feeling disconnected from your own body

Your guide

A teacher who knows what it's like to start again.

John has practised yoga and meditation for over 40 years — including studying in Mysore, South India, under the renowned Shri Pattabhi Jois.

But what shapes the way he teaches isn't only the lineage. It's living through his own injury, and discovering first-hand how the right practice could bring his body, mind and spirit back to steadiness. He's a Certified Yoga Therapist who meets you with patience, not pressure.

A gentle first step

How your free 10-minute call works.

It's exactly what it sounds like — a short, warm conversation. No forms to fill out first, no obligation to book anything.

01

We talk

Ten minutes by phone or video. You share what's been going on for you — in your body, your sleep, your stress — and John simply listens.

02

We find clarity together

You'll get an honest sense of whether yoga therapy is the right fit for you, and what a realistic path forward could look like.

03

You decide — in your own time

If it feels right, you can book your first session. If it doesn't, you'll still leave the call with a clearer next step. Either way is welcome.

Your body has been waiting for you to listen.

You don't have to keep pushing through, or work it all out alone. Let's start with a single, simple conversation.
